We are a Veterinarian and Entrepreneur teamed with a Mechanical Engineer who were determined to make life better for our dog named “Love”, who in her senior years struggled on slippery tile and wood flooring. Our goal has always been to improve the quality of life for her and as many other dogs, patients and their families as possible. We are achieving this goal one “Dog Toe Tread” at a time, by addressing the critical importance of providing traction, support, and improved mobility while decreasing trauma, inflammation, pain and degeneration. Mobility support is a crucial step in a multimodal approach to treatment and “Dog Toe Treads” plays a crucial part in achieving meaningful improvement in quality of life.

Imagine if every time you went to stand up and walk around your house, you slipped and fell due to weakness and lack of traction. Sadly, this is a reality for many of our much-loved canine companions, including my own dog “Love”. The repetitive trauma, inflammation and pain contributes to a further degenerative cycle that not only takes a toll physically, but mentally as well. Our loved ones become painful, depressed and give up trying to get up and walk at all.

As a Veterinarian, being able to give back a quality of life to my patients and their loving families is an incredible feeling. I have had the privilege to work together with my father, entrepreneur Scott McHenry, on Dog Toe Treads, who also worked with Mechanical Engineers, to come up with a way to stop slipping and falling at home. The results and testimonials have been life changing for my patients, their owners and for us since we created this product for “Love”.

The ultimate goal is centered around improving the quality of life of as many senior pets, patients, and families, as we can. We are achieving this goal one “Dog Toe Tread” at a time, by addressing the critical importance of providing traction, support, improved mobility and decreasing trauma, inflammation, pain, and degeneration, that it causes. Mobility support is a crucial step in a multimodal approach to treatment and “Dog Toe Treads” plays a crucial part in achieving meaningful improvement in quality of life.
