As a vet and an owner of a 16 year old dog, I have tried nearly everything to help with her traction.  I noticed an immediate difference! Aspen is willing to stand in the kitchen where there’s only laminate. She turns easily with no slipping and is able to walk through the house without hesitation.

Dog Toe Treads are better than having my hard floors covered in yoga mats and rugs. These are far easier to put on than Dr. Busby’s toe grips and work a lot better. Regardless of the length of your dog’s nails, Dog Toe Treads help! They have lasted longer than Paw Friction or any other paw pad application.

Your dog does need to be comfortable having their toenails dremeled but other than that, easy peasy!

Marta & Baxter Meloy

I am the owner of a Golden Retriever, Yellow Lab mixed dog.  Baxter is 13 ½ years old and weighs 54 lbs.  He has significant arthritis in his lower spine, hips and knees.  We go in for weekly laser treatments to manage his inflammation and pain.  My house has tile and Baxter has difficulty rising up from the floor, his legs slide out from under him and it is a constant struggle.

Dog Toe Treads have changed his quality of life!  With the traction they provide Bax is up and moving around without the discomfort slipping causes.  He is more alert, active, steady and confident walking, looking for lizards again and even running after the neighbors cat!  Admittedly at an elderly pace, but his interest and his cute personality is back!  He feels better and his activity shows it!

I cannot recommend Toe Treads enough, they are easy to apply and make a world of difference in Baxter’s daily life. I am telling everyone I know how fantastic they are!

Thank you so much!

Really works! Was skeptical when I ordering. Our 14 yo dot has bad joints and could not stand up on our new floor. He’s getting around great now. When you notice slipping again, it’s time to change them. Definitely recommend!

Great invention!

These Dog Toe Treads have given my senior Labrador her independence! She can now get up by herself on my slippery tile floors and she doesn’t hurt herself every time she tries to get up. I’ve tried lots of other solutions (gripper socks, paw friction, busbys toe grips, etc.) and these work the best, with the least amount of maintenance. Great invention!

These helped my 15 yr old 60 lb Shepherd to walk better immediately!

He has injured both ACL’s and was slipping terribly on hard flooring. The hardest thing about application is preparation—clipping toe hair & Dremeling. Watch the video about application it is very helpful. I would highly recommend & so does Cuda!🐾❤️

Great product. My 13 year old 90lb lab no longer slips on our wood floors. Not a huge fan of me putting these on him but that’s another issue.

Thanks for saving my dog’s joints!

I was at the vet when Dr. McHenry saw my dog slipping on the tile and asked me if I wanted to try some dog toe grips called “Dog Toe Treads”. I said I do, and was I amazed! I had done a search for such an item but had not found these online. I tried booties but she wasn’t into it and chewed them off. Lucy is 16.  She is having hip issues and I have largely terrazzo and tile flooring.  Her hips were declining so rapidly and medication wasn’t helping much. I would find her splayed on the floor with no idea how long she’d been there. It was breaking my heart.  As soon as she had the toe treads on her posture changed and her hips were more aligned. She didn’t struggle so much to get up and was interested in taking walks again. I am able to give her less medicine now so she’s not so groggy. Her quality of life is much improved. Six months ago I was sure that her time was near as I couldn’t control this issue. I feel so blessed that this product gained me some extra time.  I wish I had found them sooner! They are easy to install and stay on really well. I am so happy with this product. Thanks for spotting us Doc! I’m so thankful you did, I love my dog so very much and I so appreciate this time with her.

My 15 year old Boston Terrier was having a lot of difficulty in our new home that is all hardwood floors and tile. This product has been a total game changer for her – she is now even able to trot a little down the hall! She clearly has weak hip flexors – her back legs would splay if she was a little tired, the grippers have decreased this by at least 80%. She is used to the dremel, so cleaning her nails prior to application was very easy. Keep in mind, you need to use the smallest size that will fit on your dog’s nails. I use medium on her back nails and small on the front. She is very active with her front feet – she digs at her bed and drags it all around the house (constantly), so the medium size came off her front feet after about 7-10 days; HOWEVER, just having the back ones on was sufficient for improved mobility. The company included one small and one large gripper with my order of medium – that is how I was able to determine she needs small on the front feet. The ones on her back feet were still in pretty good shape after 4 weeks, but I did replace them per instructions. I think we could’ve gone one more week – her nails grow very slowly now that she is older. They were easy to remove and the cleaning tool took off the residue that was left from the glue. I recommend this product wholeheartedly and we will be customers for the rest of her life. I will use these with all of my babies as they age.

These toe treads are AMAZING!

These toe treads are AMAZING! My 9 year old lab doesn’t know she’s not a puppy anymore and likes to bolt around the house when excited and constantly slips on our LVP floors. She doesn’t have any hip problems (YET) and I got these toe treads to reduce her chances of injury and extend her mobile years. I’ve tried many other methods and these are the only ones that stay on and she doesn’t care about – every other product she would wait until nighttime and remove them from her paws while in her crate. I was surprised when she still had them on the next morning and one set actually lasts 3+ weeks (I finally have to remove them before they fall off as they wear down). She runs around outside and swims in the pool daily, and these things stay on with just a little drop of glue! Thank you!

Our senior Sheltie was having problems getting up and navigating on our polished concrete floors. Put a set of dog treads on him and can see a marked difference. Much easier for him to get his feet under him and get up, and corners aren’t an issue now. Application was very straightforward (be sure to trim any hair around the nails) and only took a few minutes.

I was really surprised and pleased with how well the Dog Toe Treads worked on some of my senior patients – reduced slipping, helped traction, and so much easier to apply than other products on the market. Seem to stay on longer as well and the dogs don’t mind them a bit! Great Product!!

I have a Pitbull who has been having hip issues and her back legs are not stable. I have been searching the internet for a good 2 weeks when I came across dog toe treads. This was God send and so happy with this product. I was a little skeptical, but omg! I can’t stress the wonders it has done in my baby dogs life. She was able to stand up on all 4 legs. If you want more proof, yesterday I had to change the toe treads, as I saw she was starting to slip a little after maybe a month of using it. I peeled them off completely and she attempted to walk and sadly her back leg was not stable, she slipped and could only stand with the 2 front legs. I went through the whole process of peeling and filing off the old glue that was left and put 2 new ones with the glue that they included. Immediately, she was able to stand on all 4 legs, very little slipping and able to walk. I’m not one to give immediate reviews and so I waited a bit to make sure I give accurate and truthful experience to other dog owners, since I do rely on customers review. Also, I had emailed them inquiring whether the treads could be used on her front legs and they responded within minutes of my inquiry, which is nice to have that kind of customer service. You could use it on their front paw, if needed, but she really didn’t and plus she chewed it off. And trust me she must of nibbled for a long time. Once you put the glue it stays on! If the dog toe treads is what is going to help my dog move around I plan to be a long time customer! Thank you so much for your heaven sent product. I truly appreciate your business and my dog does even more!

They really work!!

Size: Small Kit- Weight: 8-16 lbs.
I have an elderly chihuahua with a spinal condition that means she has a lot of trouble with balance in general, but especially with slick floors. We put on the size small and WOW, she is getting around so much better, even on non-slick surfaces! They seem to be just enough extra grip to help her steady herself more easily, almost like little doggy crampons. She doesn’t seem to notice they’re there at all, other than suddenly realizing she can get around well.

They were relatively easy to apply. I found with my dog’s extra small nails, since even the small size wasn’t super snug, it was helpful to put a little drop of glue in the very bottom tip before applying, then use the glue hole to do another reinforcing drop after they were placed well. She a big chi, 8 lbs, and I’d say right at the bottom end of the size that the small grips would fit. Would be nice if they made an extra small for the teeny meeny ones out there… I’d probably switch to xs if it was an option, but the small do work okay for her.

I liked that they came with glue and a little buffer head for a dremel to take off any gunk on the nails, so I didn’t have to buy anything extra to use them. I also like that the pack came with two sets and a few extra, since they’re teeny and easy to lose if they get dropped. The only thing I’d change is the sizing and maybe want an opaque or colorful version so it would be easier to tell at a glance if they’ve fallen off.

I can’t speak to the durability since she’s only had them on two days but honestly, for what a difference they make for her mobility, even if they only lasted 3 days I’d probably still buy them. It’s rare that such a small intervention makes such a big difference. My little old lady is zooming around the house in a way she hasn’t in years, and that’s worth its weight in gold!

 Dog loves them!!

Size: Large Kit – Weight: 40-60 lbs.
I ordered these as something as a last resort for our elderly dog who had issues with traction on our wood and tile floors. Having purchased dog gripper socks numerous times and our dog was wearing through them even though she only goes outside to go to the bathroom. I even used the traction stuff you dip your dogs paws into, that was a total waste of money, didn’t even work.

THEN – I ordered these for her paws and they work great. I put two on each paw (center toenails) and you use their super adhesive glue to keep them on her paws. I ordered the large ones according to her weight but ended up needing the XL for the front paws (I should have gone by the weight she used to be before losing weight due to age). The seller was extremely responsive and I am very happy with this product.

Would highly recommend these.

Dog Toe Treads have been a blessing for our 14 year old dog!

She was at the point of barely being able to stand up. Her paws would not get a grip on the wood floors when she was laying down trying to stand. We had to help lift her to stand up. After we applied the Dog Toe Treads she was able to grip the floor and stand up by herself! She was able to move around better and safer. Over time she got stronger from more activity. She wanted to walk further and stay out walking more. We were able to avoid putting her down and had more quality time with her. We only needed 2 treads on each paw. We tried other things but the Dog Toe Treads worked the best. I wish we started using them several years earlier for prevention from slipping.

Various sample sizes come along to help ensure you have the perfect fit.

Size: Medium Kit – Weight: 16-40 lbs.
My Aussie has only 1 toe on her front paw due to amputation. We have tried multiple things, including expensive boots, to help protect her sensitive site during hikes and strenuous play. The nail caps are perfect. They generally last for more than one use and once you learn how to work with your dog to put them on, it is simple. They help keep traction as well as protect the nail from getting too worn down and causing pain.

My Dog Can Walk Again!

Size: Large Kit – Weight: 40-60 lbs.

I’m a vet tech and my 57 lb Siberian Husky had knee surgery a year back and her other knee is starting to give out on slippery surfaces. I applied this and instantly she had better traction than ever before! Now she gets to roam the house happy and I don’t have to worry about her hurting herself 🙂 I ordered a L and in the box came a sample of XL and M. XL fit better on some nails while other nails for L better so I ordered a second box in XL through their website. I highly recommend!

I cannot thank you enough for this amazing product!!

I wasn’t too hopeful about this product, but my dog was having so much trouble getting up off the wood floors… even with walking. It broke my heart to watch him struggle and he wouldn’t let me help. So I ordered the Dog Toe Treads, willing to try anything.
First, the company contacted me in regards to the size I ordered. They told me they were going to include 4 in large and I could see what worked best. Who does that?? I was impressed! The Dog Toe Treads arrived and we put them on his nails with very little problem. It took our old boy a couple of tries, but up he got. The look of wonder on his face when he didn’t fall splay legged brought me to tears. He walked with trepidation, but you should see him now!!

Works Great!

These work better than Dr. Busby’s toe grips for my dog. He has a cervical spinal cord injury and these give him much better traction and confidence on wood floors. I just wish there was a discount for monthly orders like with Dr. Busby’s.

Works for our Labrador on tile floors

Size: Large Kit – Weight: 40-60 lbs.
These have helped our senior Labrador to stand up easier and she is not sliding on our tile floors now. You need to follow directions well. At first I did not trim hair under her paws and the treads could not touch the floor well. After I trimmed the hair they worked very well. 😊

Luckily, I found Dog Toe Treads!

Cricket is thirteen and starting to feel some age. Two years ago we moved to a house with all hardwoods stairs and floors. At some point she slipped and really hurt her back. It was a long road to recovery, but she has been doing well. Recently, she slid down about 4 steps to the floor. She appeared to be fine, but she didn’t want to take the stairs after that for some time. If that wasn’t enough, she has suffered horrible allergies for a few years also. She receives a monthly injection to help stem the itching, but she still licks and chews her feet. I have researched most of the products on the market, of which there aren’t many, to help give her some grip on the floors. I tried the sticky pad covers, and they not only didn’t provide grip, one actually made her slipping worse. I experimented with putting socks on her before I invested in canine booties, but she wouldn’t tolerate them. In every case, she would chew them off. Luckily, I found Dog Toe Treads. There is another brand out there that covers the nail with a ring or tube, but it didn’t appear to do much to prevent slipping on the floor, in my opinion. With Dog Toe Trends, it’s obvious how the nail contact provides grip. Reading the instructions, I was a little concerned that she would just chew them off. Cricket really hates to have her paws touched, as they are sensitized from her liking and chewing. However, she sat still and I had all the Dog Toe Treads placed in under 5 minutes. The resultant effect was almost immediate. Cricket had to get used to the slightly different feel; but in just one day, her confidence in taking the stairs was incredible. It’s now around 10 days or so, and she is a totally different pup. Due to being under the “stay at home” orders, we have had more than ample time to observe how Cricket is getting around the house. She is back to following me everywhere. She goes up and down the stairs at a fairly good clip whenever she feels like it, which is now about 10 times a day. Moreover, she has started asking to chase her treats again. The treads have stayed in place and show no signs of loosening or being damaged. Cricket hates walking in grass, so she stays on the street on her walks and I see no damage to the treads despite daily walks and spending up to a couple hours running around the backyard. Dog Toe Trends has been a real blessing. I no longer worry that Cricket could be seriously injured at any moment. The relief from that stress is incalculable and seeing Cricket’s quality of life vastly improved is priceless!
